- Digital Transformation: Allan rejoined AutoNation in 2014 as CIO and led the digital transformation of the sales and service process. At Dealertrack, he had responsibility for the digital retailing initiative.

- Restructuring: As CEO of incadea, Allan built turnaround plan focused on cost reduction, project execution, performance transparency and project profitability; executed global restructuring plan; and sold business to private equity firm.
- Strategic Planning: This has been a key foundational element of every role that Allan has held.
- Technology Leadership: Allan drove the data integration strategy, and began the move of internal systems to the cloud at AutoNation.
- Operational Execution: At Dealertrack, Allan combined and rationalized the support, implementation and account management services from over 10 acquisitions into a cohesive services unit providing a single face to the client.
